Meet Dr. Jasen A. Ruiz, Sc.D

Dr. Jasen A. Ruiz is an accomplished audiologist, entrepreneur, and the Founder of Advanced Audiology of NY, a practice he built from the ground up with a vision of providing exceptional, personalized hearing healthcare. Nearly two decades into his career, Dr. Ruiz has transformed that vision into a growing multi-state organization with seven locations across New York, New Jersey, and Florida and he continues to look toward the future with plans for further expansion.

Dr. Ruiz earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Iona College before earning his Doctorate in Audiology from Montclair State University. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive clinical experience in audiological, vestibular, and neurological testing, with a particular passion for adult hearing rehabilitation and advanced hearing technology.

His approach to hearing healthcare has always centered on the individual. Dr. Ruiz believes successful hearing treatment extends far beyond fitting hearing aids it requires understanding each patient’s lifestyle, communication needs, family dynamics, and personal goals to develop a customized path toward better hearing and an improved quality of life.

Dr. Ruiz is also the Founder of Jet Set Hearing Care, a luxury concierge hearing healthcare company created to bring white glove audiological services directly to patients. Jet Set Hearing Care provides a convenient, highly personalized approach to hearing healthcare for individuals who value exceptional service and accessibility, including those residing in independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities.

His entrepreneurial interests extend beyond healthcare. Dr. Ruiz is an active South Florida real estate investor, with investments in multiple properties serving both the short-term and long-term rental markets. Whether expanding a healthcare organization, developing a new business concept, or investing in real estate, he approaches each endeavor with the same principles that have guided his career: discipline, consistency, calculated growth, and an unwavering commitment to improvement.

That philosophy carries into another major passion in his life competitive bodybuilding. Dr. Ruiz is an amateur competitive bodybuilder who continues to compete while balancing the demands of business ownership and family life. His goal is to ultimately earn his professional bodybuilding card, a pursuit that reflects his belief that age should never determine the limits of one’s ambitions. For him, bodybuilding is about far more than physique; it represents discipline, resilience, accountability, and the pursuit of becoming better every day.

Despite his professional accomplishments, Dr. Ruiz considers his greatest roles to be those outside the office: husband and father. He is the proud husband of his wife, Janis, and father to their two sons, Masen and Ayden. Their family is completed by their beloved French Bulldogs, Hercules and Xena.

Dr. Ruiz remains actively involved in the advancement of his profession and regularly participates in continuing education to stay at the forefront of hearing aid technology and modern hearing healthcare. He is a member and fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). He has also received specialized training through Towson University in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy for the management of tinnitus and hyperacusis.

Dr. Ruiz is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in New York, Virginia and Florida.

Nearly two decades after beginning his journey in audiology, Dr. Ruiz remains as driven as ever. What began as a passion for helping people hear better has evolved into a growing healthcare organization, a concierge hearing care company, real estate investments, and an entrepreneurial journey that continues to expand.

And he is far from finished.
